Second Hand Uniform Pop Up Shop : Friday Feb 5 – 11.45am-12.30pm
Donations of uniforms Wanted! Please drop off to school office by Mon Feb 1st. The Friends of Lorne Primary (FOLP) will run a shop on Friday at the end of each term in the Lorne Street playground.
Tuesday 9th February 6.30-7.30pm with a children’s activity corner and refreshments on offer. Please come along! Meet interested parents, find out what your child and school are doing and be a part of their development.
Today was Mr McLean’s last day with all the children wishing him well in his new school. P7 lead a special assembly which thanked him for all he has done for the school in the time he has been with us. All the staff and pupils wish him well in his move to James Gillespie’s Primary School.
P4, P5 & P5/6 children are having ukulele lessons as part of the national youth music initiative. They got off to a great start last week and love playing the ukulele already.
Author Lari Don visited P4-7 to talk about her books and writing. The children were involved in developing a trapping story idea and got time to ask fantastic questions with the best being from Caleb in P7
“If you were stuck on a desert island with only enough equipment to write one book what would you write?”
The children were then given the opportunity to purchase one of her books which were signed with a personal message for them.
