Sport Relief Fundraiser

Everyone took part in activities on Thursday 17th March from walking round the track at Meadowbank or following the course set out in the school playground to raise funds for Sport Relief.  So far the total from Lorne is a massive £793.77! A truly fantastic effort.  Well done to all involved.

Crawford Bridge Mural

The children had a surprise visit at assembly from Community Safety Officer, Mark Robinson and PCs Darling and Lindsay who presented them with a printed fabric to be displayed in the school showing their art work from the bridge. The print is provided by local company BeFab Be Creative. The pictures are copies of the 48 portraits they donated to the anti graffiti initiative, ShipShape Albion.

Final Competition

A group of P7 and P6 pupils went to Inverleith Park for the ESSPA final Cross Country competition.  Apart from the course being challenging they all did a great job. Well done!

Cross Country Club

The Cross Country After School Club drew to a close on Monday (14th).  Thank you to all who took part.  Miss Young and Mr McCullough are very pleased with the effort and behaviour of all the pupils.

Pop Up Bookshop Success

Children and staff had a great day visiting our Blackwell’s Pop Up Bookshop in the library today.  Everyone got their free World Book Day £1 book and a some children bought books for themselves or even their little brothers and sisters.  A great start to our World Book Day celebrations.  Don’t forget to come to school as your favourite book character on Friday.
