French & Spanish Cafe Experiences in P5 and P5/6

The children in P5 ran a French Cafe which served breakfast to the children in P5/6 this morning offering drinks and French pastries.

After break the P5’s were served lunch by the P5/6 children in their Spanish Tapas Cafe.  Great fun was had by all and they all got a chance to practice ordering food in French and Spanish.

Summer Fair

Thank you to everyone who came and supported our Summer Fair today. We had a great turnout with a pizza making stall, home made cakes, pies donated from a local butchers and food from the Punjabi Junction in the kitchen and lots of games, the bouncy castle, jumble sale and silent auction in the PE hall.

Outside, we were very lucky to have the local fire engine and also soak the teacher. This went down particularly well – for the children, anyway!!

Take a look at some of the pictures in our photo gallery.

A huge thank you to the restaurants and local businesses who kindly donated to our raffles.

Coffee and Cake – P1Y

Thanks to everyone who came to the last Coffee and Cake session in P1Y. We had a great time telling everyone about how much work we’ve been doing to rebuild Fairyland. We also had lots of fun decorating our gingerbread people. Hopefully they won’t run away like the Gingerbread Man in the story did!

Please come along to our last session this year and give feedback on where you would like to see this project go next. We will be showcasing some music, looking at a slideshow of all our sessions, handy tips for over the holidays and generally patting ourselves on the back for a job well done! And of course there will coffee and cake!

We look forward to welcoming you all. Miss Murray and P1.

York News…So Far !!

P7 sent us some photos of their 1st stop today, a visit to the beach at Bamburgh Castle. Weather was reportedly “amazing” and the children were all very excited.  Hopefully more photos to come as the week goes on.
